New housing and nursing facilities were proposed to be developed alongside Broadoak Manor House to expand the care/nursing home for the elderly.  The housing units are available for purchase together with the care and facilities provided by Broadoak Manor

A key requirement was that the self contained units needed to blend in with the existing buildings.

Some of the buildings were tilled with Brown Antique tiles and other with a blend of 50% Red tiles and 50% Red/Blue blend which has subsequently been named the Trafalgar Blend.  This had the effect of adding interest and character to the development.
